I want to change my legal entity from sole proprietor to a newly formed LLC. So I had researched in this forum about changing a legal entity (sole proprietor to LTD company) and there are a lot of posts on topics ranging from weeks to months. We want to convert the tax unit of our account into a sister company as part of a streamlining of operations. Since reading horror stories about the suspension, I have written to Amazon customer support: Hello, just an update, I received an email from Amazon this morning saying, “Dear seller, good news! Your selling payment account on Amazon has been activated. We will contact you if we need further information” In this case, you will need a recent letter from hmrc confirming your UTR number, which Amazon will ask for as proof Hey, can you help me with questions or information Amazon requests an online VAT survey so that I can be prepared with the required information and not between 🙂 get stuck. Thanks in advance. This is the sample on Amazon, what do I use as header my own name, plus the rest, I will be my name that allows me Looks crazy, they told me, to change the legal entity I should email them and I did. But still no answer.
I understand that you want to change the legal name of your seller account. No, if you change your legal entity, your account will not be suspended. Amazon wants me to update my business information I am currently a sole proprietor Hi, I received the seller verification link about 4 days after I was asked to change it. I changed the business and contact information, master contact details, company bank details and debit method, and also managed to download the authorization letter. Now the bank details are displayed as verified. The status of my seller account is Information provided. I also noticed that “Transfer Account” is now enabled (it wasn`t the case before). But I`m not entirely sure if I should click Transfer Account because the verification/seller support didn`t ask for it.
No clear information from them. Please see the images in the Identity Information section and the picture I see when I click Transfer Account. I have my UTR and business registration, so the next step is to write the media and open the setting for the legal entity to edit my business form. Yes, I checked everything, but nothing appears as {legal entity} and no response from seller verification I tried to create a professional seller account under a limited liability company and finally I came to do it. After doing some research, I was told to open an individual seller account until I finished researching the product and was ready to sell, all to save a few months of monthly subscription fees for the business seller account. I realized this was the wrong advice, so I contacted the audit team to change my legal entity from a natural company to a limited liability company, I was told to update my tax information to proceed with the legal entity change; That is the answer I got. Option 2 is the legal way to easily change your account name. A letter from your lawyer should easily do the trick to change the title of your Amazon account. Legal is like legal. Otherwise, a temporary suspension of the account “may” occur. This is an opportunity that you take advantage of here at Amazon. Amazon would change the account name for you along with the documentation.
If you choose option 1, some aspects of the account may not be available to your partner. You may be able to see your inventory, but you won`t be able to handle it. Personally, I had to revoke some permissions on my account years ago because my “partner” caused damage to the account. This can be risky in some ways. Trust is important. Just to give an update, the new seller`s account status will show “Information provided” when verification has been completed (meaning the account is normal and active). And they can start selling and paying. But once they reach 15,000 KYC, they are triggered and rechecked and the status is then changed to Active/Valid. The seller`s opinion confirmed it, I still wonder about it. Was someone able to change the legal entity of their account and still get all the previous comments? If the company name, EIN and bank details change, will the comments really be kept as long as they are the same owners? We have excellent feedback; Fear of losing it. Please help us, thank you! @The_Little_Shop I first contacted seller support and seller support provided me with the following link. seller-verification-enquiry@amazon.co.uk.
Hello seller, is there a seller here who has successfully transitioned from sole proprietor to limited liability company (sole shareholder) in 2021? I have a sole proprietorship account and would like to switch to my new limited liability company (sole proprietorship = me). The support center told me to close my account and request a new one. I have sent an email to the audit team and I am awaiting their response. Now I have an active inventory in fba. If the exam takes too long, I can close my account and request a new one. What do you recommend? Thank you very much. Hello seller, I am also trying to change my legal entity from sole proprietor to limited liability company. The steps are really confusing. I attach a photo. So it appears by default 3 blue checkmarks and it has my old information, everything is gray, I can`t edit it, so should I click Next? I think I should write my new information about a limited liability company and then click Next?? Has anyone ever done that? Thanks for the advice. Exactly what you want is for you to be able to edit the details to update them.
You usually don`t ask for a reason why you want something. It seems above that the property was the same. In my case, however, the ownership of the new, multi-entity LLC would be a 50-50 property. In addition, the EIN documents are named after my partner.
