The BSN Pathway is based on a traditional four-year undergraduate program that provides foundational training that includes academic and professional nursing courses essential to clinical competence, and informed judgments about health and patient care in a variety of settings with families and individuals of all ages. The pre-nursing major includes University of Arizona general education courses and prerequisite courses that prepare students for the graduate nursing program. In addition to classes, students have access to a variety of resources prior to nursing as they prepare for the BSN program. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at the University of Arizona College of Nursing is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The ability to learn and practice nursing skills in a simulated environment is here – all in the heart of Alabama`s beautiful residential campus. Excellent clinical facilities, from hospitals to home care agencies, health services to public schools, are available in Tuscaloosa and surrounding communities. In these settings, students learn to think, act and practice as a nurse. Upon completion of lower division courses, students are encouraged to apply for the upper division of the nursing program.
