Prior to his appointment at UCF, he was an associate professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Law in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and practiced corporate and tax law at a large Latin American law firm. Professor Guerra-Pujol holds a bachelor`s degree from UC Santa Barbara and a juris doctor from Yale Law School. Professor Guerra-Pujol has published peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and other academic articles and is a member of the Academy of Legal Studies in Business (ALSB). He is currently writing a book called Alternate Legal Worlds, which explores the law from a science fiction perspective, and his work has been featured on Freakonomics Radio, Hacker News, and the io9 website.
Sean P. Melvin is an associate professor of business law at Elizabethtown College (Pennsylvania), where he served as department head for eight years, won the Delta Mu Delta Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award, and received several faculty merit awards for his teaching and scholarship. Prior to his appointment to Elizabethtown, he was an assistant professor of business administration at a major state university, where he taught in undergraduate and MBA programs. Prior to his academic career, Professor Melvin was a corporate lawyer at a large Philadelphia law firm, and then became vice president and general counsel of a publicly traded technology company. Professor Melvin has authored or co-authored eight books (including five textbooks), contributed academic and professional articles and case studies to more than two dozen publications, and is a member of the Academy of Legal Studies in Business (ALSB). His paper “Case Study of a Coffee War” was selected as the best international case study at the 86th Annual ALSB Conference. The purpose of this book is for the student to develop a deeper understanding of the social responsibilities of the business world. It is also a goal for the student to establish a high level of ethical decision-making. This book is the authors` contribution to achieving these goals. Ryan H.
