The availability of a free civil lawyer can make all the difference for our neighbours struggling to stay home, escape domestic violence, get veterans` benefits, or address many other legal challenges that are central to their safety and well-being. In addition, a variety of pro bono programs across the state focus on a specific area of law or a specific group of people. For example, Lawyers and Accountants for the Arts, with offices in St. Louis and Kansas City, provides pro bono legal and accounting support to qualified artists and arts organizations in all creative disciplines. We want the community to know that East Missouri Legal Services remains committed to helping individuals and families in need of civil legal assistance during this COVID-19 crisis. Although our physical office is closed, we still serve the community and cater to the needs of our customers. Interfaith Legal Services for Immigrants is a non-profit organization that provides affordable immigration services to low-income immigrants and their families. The Catholic Legal Aid Ministry (CLAM) is affiliated with Catholic charities in the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
