58. Penalties for unlawful practices.- (1) Any person who is not a lawyer practising as a lawyer and any person who is not entitled under this Act to practise before a High Court or the Supreme Court before that court shall be liable to imprisonment for a term of not more than one year. or with a fine or both. 2 (e) “lawyer” means a lawyer”] (q) the standards of legal education to be observed by Pakistani universities and the inspection of universities for this purpose; (3) Where a person has been admitted by a Bar Council [as an advocate of the Supreme Court or] as an advocate of the Supreme Court [of the Supreme Court or, as the case may be, of the Supreme Court], the High Court may, if it considers that it is not in the interests of the legal profession, that person should continue to be represented on the list of advocates: refer the matter back to the Bar Council for reconsideration. Preamble:— The Law on Lawyers and Bar Associations should be repealed, re-enacted with certain amendments and certain ancillary and ancillary matters should be provided. However, this clause shall not apply to categories of persons who, on the basis of their legal training or experience, are declared exempted from the provisions of this clause by the Pakistan Bar Council. and 58. Set-off.- No action or other legal proceeding may be instituted against a council or committee of the College, a court, a member, an officer or an officer of the Council of the Order for any act committed or planned in accordance with the provisions of this Act or the regulations made under this Act.

Stay of Order.– An appeal under section 47 or section 48 shall not be considered a stay of the impugned order, but the Disciplinary Committee of the Pakistan Bar Council or the Supreme Court may, on sufficient grounds, order the suspension of such order under such conditions as it deems appropriate. (8) If the office of Vice-President becomes vacant, an election for the vacancy shall be held within thirty days after the vacancy arises. 17. Law Society Fund.- (1) All monies received by a provincial councillor as registration fees or grants, gifts or subscriptions form part of the fund of that council and, subject to the provisions of subsection (2), those funds shall be administered, administered and used in the prescribed manner.
